Cherry Scones

Ingredients:
300g
Self-raising flour
1
tsp Baking powder
75g
Margarine
50g
Caster sugar
1
egg
Milk
100g
Glacé cherries (chopped)
1
tsp vanilla essence
Method:
1. Sieve flour and baking powder together, rub in
margarine.
2. Stir in sugar and cherries.
3. Add egg and vanilla essence, slowly add milk until
the mixture is worked into a soft dough.
4. Roll out to 12mm thick and use a cutter to cut out
scones
5. Place on a lined baking tray. Bake for 10 minutes
at 240ºC.
6. Once cooked leave to cool and then eat on their
own, with butter or smothered in jam and cream!
